I saw Kaitlyn Kiyan perform with Andrew Kober in Koberet at Joe’s Pub, and even though I’d seen Hair before, I was stunned at how gorgeous her voice was. Then I saw Hair again on my snowday, and realized she’s the ones singing the insanely high notes during the Be-in, and felt really stupid for not noticing it before.

Also, I saw Memphis again on Sunday, and saw Bryan Fenkart as Huey! He did a wonderful job and I loved his interpretation of the role. One of my favorite parts of now being so close to the city and getting to see shows multiple times is getting to see the understudies’ various interpretations of the roles, and Bryan certainly did not disappoint!

The amount of talent found in the Memphis is amazing…the songs were fantastical….

And the hand story….loved it when I heard it a couple of weeks ago and still love it…to dang funny….
